Experience / Fitness
All the activities we provide can be enjoyed regardless of your level of experience and fitness. We try to offer a choice of either an introduction or a more challenging option with all our activities.

In the case of some activities, we will require additional information to make sure you get the right level of instruction and the most from your day. We will ask for any additional information we need when we are confirming your booking
Equipment
All necessary equipment is provided for you by your instructor(s) who will explain to you how the equipment is to be used. For some activities you may bring your own equipment if you prefer but please check with us first. Your instructor will need to inspect its suitability before use.

You will be informed about specific clothing and other requirements when we confirm your booking. Please be aware that failure to bring the specified items may result in you being unable to take part in the activity or, at the very least, may mean that you won't enjoy it as much.
Safety / Insurance
South West Outdoors is a fully insured activity providing company. We check that all of the professional instructors we use are experienced, fully qualified and insured and use only the best and latest instructional and safety equipment, following stringent safety guidelines and regulations. We check each instructor individually, risk assesses the activity, location and route to ensure that you have the highest possible standard of instruction, in a stunning location, carried out safely but with the emphasis on fun; thus ensuring you will have a day to remember.

Nevertheless, we have to remind you that all outdoor activities, by their very nature, have an element of risk attached. We therefore recommend that all participants take out personal accident insurance cover. On some activities you may be asked to sign a further disclaimer/waiver by the guide or instructor.
Meals / Refreshments
When planning your event, we will discuss meal arrangements with you. On activity days, if lunch is not included you will need to bring either a picnic lunch or, with some activities, there is an option of a pub lunch (watch the alcohol intake though if you expect to carry on with your activity after lunch).

If meals or other refreshments are included, dietary requirements and any allergies need to be made known to us on the booking form and we shall do our utmost to accommodate. We recommend that all participants eat something substantial ahead of any outdoor activity. Failure to do so may leave you short of energy.
Directions and other details for the day
Once we have confirmed your event and your payment processed/funds cleared, we will send you confirmation details confirming the date, time and directions for your activity. We usually send these out by email.
Cancellation
Details of our cancellation policy are set out in our terms & conditions but, in summary, we do have a series of cancellation charges which start to apply if you decide to cancel your booking less than 6 weeks before your event date. Cancellation charges may also apply if you are significantly late for any activity or the instructor/guide judges you unfit to take part.

If numbers alter between booking and the event date, we do try to get refunds back to our clients (less administration costs) but this will depend on our supplier's terms.

If we have to cancel an outdoor activity for any other reason outside our/your control (such as severe weather conditions), the first thing we will do is try to rearrange your activity, or offer you an alternative. If that is not suitable, we will give you a credit voucher, valid for a year and redeemable against any of our activities.
